Kindred Touch was founded by Sharon Davenport, BS, LMT, BCTMB to help people experience the joy of massage therapy, self-care techniques and personal growth and development. Which in turn promotes total wellness and healthy communication among families and in their personal lives.
Sharon has a Bachelors of Science in Organizational Communications, has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 14 years and is a National Board Certified Approved Provider with NCBTMB. Not only has she managed massage therapists in several locations, including the Lexington Athletic Club, Sharon also ran her own practice, the Prime Massage Center, for eight years.
She continues to manage massage at LAC and provide therapy to her long time clients. Presently her desire is to take all of her knowledge and experience to teach others how to use massage, self-care techniques, essential oils and the years she has invested into higher learning to greatly improve mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical wholeness in the lives of others.
“There’s a whole other level of communication available to us through safe touch and open communication,” Sharon said. “For example, something special happens when someone is giving a foot rub. People can develop connection, humility, and respect like we see in the Bible when Jesus washed His disciples’ feet.”
